Telecom Monitoring System

Overview

Whirlybird Telecom Tower Infrastructure Monitoring System is an innovative hardware designed to integrate multiple sensors at site, which can monitor and control the site anytime and from anywhere. As the telecommunication sector is consolidating and prices for services increasing operators and TowerCo have to find new ways to remain profitable at the same time increase value for their clients.

Using a Whirlybird Telecom Tower Infrastructure Monitoring Solution is the best way to ensure that Customer has complete control over following:

  • → Energy profile – Monitoring and Management
  • → Battery Management and Monitoring
  • → Fuel and Generator Management
  • → Resource Management
  • → Asset Management
  • → Operating Efficiency of Equipment
  • → Loss Of Revenue Due to Downtime

This solution has lot of challenges, such as tampering, cable damages, staff mishandling etc. Whirlybird, has worked with its experience on meeting these challenges and come out with innovative LoRaTM based connectivity ensuring the wiring and touchpoints are reduced to minimum. These solutions adds to the bottom line and reduces operating expenses for Operator.

How Tower Infrastructure Management System Supports

Whirlybird Tower Infrastructure Management Systems have IoT enabled sensors, & smart control devices, installed at the Tower Site, that monitor various parameters such as energy, battery performance, run hours, fuel parameters, temperature, water, humidity, security etc . Whirlybird gateway WRMS03/WRMS02 communicates this data to central server over the internet (For additional security embedded SIM option is also there). The sensors that monitor the Site parameters communicate with the Gateway – This communication can be wired of wireless.
In Telecom Tower operations, the assets are distributed across large areas spanning thousands of kilometres, covering urban and rural geographies. Under normal circumstances in order to monitor each site there is requirement of a significant number of feet on the ground. Even with that, the available information is prone to errors and inaccuracies. A Smart IoT based remote monitoring system can monitor these equipment 24×7 across multiple geographies addressing this challenge.
